"Me vs. the Marlboro Man" is a determined and pointed stand against someone's self-destructive instincts that takes the time to express affection for the subject of the song's disappointment and anger. The snare roll and the light guitar tone prevent this one from really developing into the typical punk rock assault and instead give it a more dynamic and, consequentially, a more interesting feel.
